Не wаѕ diagnosed wіtһ nоn-Hodgkin lymphoma іn March 2010, wһісһ delayed tһе filming оf season 2 оf tһе show. Eventually һе һаd tо leave tһе program.

The character he played resonated with me on a personal level there was something about his personality that came through his character that was spiritual even though i never knew this man. It goes to show you that death is impartial to success or failure it is with sadness that he will no longer entertain the millions of veiwers who were focused on his role in the drama. I have to say i felt his death almost as if i knew the guy i will however celebrate his life by having his series as a mark of respect to what appeared a decent man any sickness is related to energy at cellular level as that is what we are a collection of so i would like to share that fact that irrespective of what we achieve in this life we are and will always be that a collection of cells. Andy rest in peace young soul.

I have just watched Spartacus. A fantastic tribute to the acting of Andy Whitfield. So sad that he has passed away. I could not believe it when I was told he had died. Kind regards to his wife,family and friends.
i have just watched the spartacus. and really admires the passionate acting of randy he was a true star and one can say that he is born to act the role in the spartacus, but all legendry souls passes away to soon , perhaps GOD wants them near himself. But he will be rememered forever
